Commentary on "Resilience"
Day 3: Monday, February 14, 2011 - Joseph in Captivity
Joseph suffered great injustices as did our God and Savior Jesus Christ. Yet Joseph through all the troubles and dark times he faced showed great faith, and top notch resiliency. To be honest I think the toughest moments for Joseph were those when he faced his brothers. He had to know whether they were worthy of his trust before he could reveal himself to them. Could you imagine the emotions that raged in Joseph?
He came out even stronger than he was when his trials started, and I think that’s the case in the Christian walk today. I am a firm believer that if God has truly started a changing work in your life, you will be nowhere near where you were when you started. You will experience much greater resilience once you allow God to live in you through the Holy Spirit.
He owns you, He purchased you on the cross through Jesus Christ, you life is no longer your own.
