Commentary on "Church Life (1 Thess. 5:1228)"
Day 7: Friday, September 7, 2012 - Further Study
If Ellen White is the "lesser light" why does "further study" always involves her writings? Doesn't further study suggest learning more about the passage? How is it that studying Ellen White takes you further into understanding God's message than studying Scripture? As I have pointed out before, this practice in the Sabbath School lessons clearly illustrates how SDAism truly treats their prophet's writings. The Bible isn't the final and most complete word from God, her writings are the final point, the place to go for further study.
