Overview

Today’s lesson focuses on a list of suggested readings from the works of Ellen White and includes a short selection of quotes made by her.

 

Review

Since our faith comes only from learning and understanding God’s word, the bible, we have no reason to review the published works of Ellen White to study and understand what Paul is teaching.

First and foremost, there is an issue of your salvation. Jesus states that you must be ‘born again’, John 3:1-7, to join the kingdom of God. In John 16:7-15, Jesus declares that it is the promised Holy Spirit who will guide each person into all truth. Only those who are born again have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

The church family, which is the body of Christ, mutually work together under the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit to grow in faith, sanctification and the spread of the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

The true church is made up of all those who have accepted the gospel message of Jesus Christ and thereby have received the promised indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The church is a creation of God and most certainly not related to any organization of human design.

 

Summary

1. All truth is to be found only in the bible, the whole bible and nowhere but the bible.
2. The role of the Holy Spirit includes teaching each born again person all of God’s truth including the book of Romans.
